Our School Ambassadors

School Council at Hemington

Each year our classes elect a school council. 2 representatives are chosen in Butterflies and Kingfishers with one being chosen in Otters. They elect pupils who can act as the class and school voice as well as having qualities to support wellbeing for the school and their peers. Our School Council meet once every half term.

Additionally in Otters 4 pupils apply for Head/Deputy Boy and Girl. We call these the pupil leadership team or PLT. These represent the school at events, meet and greet visits, help chair council meetings and contribute to celebration assemblies.

Other roles in school include:

-Hemington ICT technician and House Point Monitor

– Hemington Photographer

– Positive Vibe Club Leader

Last year our school ambassadors organised competitions to design new house point shields and mottos, met parents at Harvest, Easter and Christmas events, supported assemblies and helped design the annex for the Midlands Airport grant that we have won. Here are the designs for our ‘new look’ shields.
